| Welcome to Classic Events and Classic Swap Meets! We’d like to be your home for the latest news from the world of vintage motorcycling. In addition to information on our own events and activities, we will provide the most complete calendar of vintage motorcycling events in North America. Calendar listings will be free to any vintage bike club, organization or promoter. We will refrain from listing charity rides and poker runs, unless they are vintage specific. Vintage competition events are welcome. If it’s vintage bike related, we’ll run it; if it isn’t, we won’t. Along with the Vintage Calendar, we will feature news from the vintage bike community, stories about the personalities in the old bike world and even some how-to articles. After a long period of recovery, my family and I are returning to a semi-normal life. Our next event will be Saturday, February 18, 2012 at the Medina County Fairgrounds in Medina, Ohio. The meet will be in the Community Center Building. And, as we did last February, we will be sharing the building with the Columbia Game Club's Hunting and Fishing Show. Additionally, we have several exciting projects in the works for 2012. Stay tuned for updates. 2/20/2011 March 12, 2011 York, PA Swap Meet Cancelled Will Stoner, President of vintage motorcycle event production company Classic Events, announced today that the Saturday, March 12, 2011 Classic Events Swap Meet at the York Expo Center in York, Pennsylvania has been cancelled because of illness in his family. “It is with regret and sadness that we must announce the cancellation of our event March 12th in York, PA We apologize for any inconvenience this action may cause”. Stoner Said. All pre-paid vendor fees will be refunded. And all other 2011 Classic Events productions will take place as scheduled, including the swap meet, bike show and club corral elements of the. Road America Vintage Motorcycle Classic 1/28/2011Visit us at the Cleveland IMS Show, Booth 1544! The Classic Events crew will be at the Progressive International Motorcycle Show at the I-X Center in Cleveland, Ohio January 28-30. Click here for more info on the show. http://www.motorcycleshows.com/Cleveland We will be promoting the Road America Vintage Motorcycle Classic (RAVMC), June 10-12, 2011 in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. More on that great event next week. Over a dozen AHRMA (American Historic Motorcycle Racing Association) volunteers will manning the booth including Kevin Sexton and Hanna "Cookie" Matthews. Kevin is the pilot and Cookie is the "monkey" on their vintage sidecar rig. The 650 Yamaha powered outfit will be on display at our booth. "Mystery Guest" at Medina Swap Meet is SATURDAY, February 19th. Classic Events returns to the Community Center Building at the Medina County Fairgrounds in tropical Medina, Ohio Saturday, February 19th. We will have a special "Mystery Guest, along with our regular lineup of all brands vintage bikes, parts, literature and memorabilia and the Vintage Bike Show. Admission is $6.00 for adults and, as always, enthusiasts under 16 are FREE with an adult. Vendor space is still available. 10' X 10' spaces are $50.00 and include two admissions. Click on the Vendor Applications page for more info. 1/11/2011 Seminars added to Road America Vintage Motorcycle Classic lineup Informative and entertaining seminars are the latest addition to the list of activies at the Road America Vintage Motorcycle Classic (RAVMC) June 10-12, 2011 in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.The lineup of speakers has not been finalized, but we confirmed that Cycle X form Hazelhurst, WI will be presenting seminars on several topics including high performance ignition systems.Cycle X is renowned for their work on 750 Honda engines, but they also xperts on British and Harley-Davidson machines. Check out their web site at http://www.cyclexchange.net/. Also heading to the Seminar podium will be Bob Vail, an expert on touring on vintage motorcyles and well known for his vintage specials . Bob will speak on those topics and more. We are working on several more exciting additions to RAVMC. Check back soon 11/10/2010 Nov. 14, 2010 York Swap Meet is a GO! Contrary to a rumor that was floating around the NESCO swap meet in New Jersey, the Classic Events Swap Meet Sunday, November 14, 2010 at the York Expo Center in York, PA is definitely on! We have over 50 vendors pre-registered with many more planning to sign up at the event. Indoor and outdoor space is still available for $50/space. Admission is $6 for adults Vintage club and AMA members $5 enthusiasts 16 and under FREE. Show Hours Hours for all our winter shows will be as follows:

The event will feature all brands of motorcycles, parts, literature, memorabilia and accessories. Sharing the spotlight at the events will be vintage motorcycle shows. The shows are open to all bikes 1991 or older, with awards in over ten classes up for grabs.

The good news is that he will be at the November 14, 2010 Meet in York, PA.It seems a conflict has arisen in the shooting schedule of Cafe Racer TV. He has the opportunity to interview BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN and BILLIE JOEL, but they're only available on November 7th. We'll give him a pass on this one... We’re moving our Ohio shows to the Community Center at the Medina County Fairgrounds in Medina, Ohio. The spacious, clean facility has room for nearly two hundred vendor spaces, but we’ll be using less this season. READ MORE OF THIS NEWSLETTER Discovery H-D Theater 10/13/10 Café Racer TV Host Mike Seate Special Guest at Medina Show Meet Mike Seate, host of the new show, Café Racer TV on the Discovery H-D Theater channel and editor of Cafe Racer magazine, will be the Special Guest at the November 7, 2010 Classic Evens Swap Meet at the Community Center on the Medina County Fairgrounds in Medina, Ohio. Seate will sign autographs, answer questions about café racer style motorcycles and chat with our guests In addition; he is bringing one of the magazine’s project bikes. |
